Rather than requesting donations, SAVE-Prescott asks professionals to provide pro-bono services to one student at a time. Professionals who volunteer their time to SAVE-Prescott will never be asked to assist more than one student at a time, and they will be able to withdraw from the program at any time. In the event that there are more students than professionals, a waiting list will be created by the Prescott Unified School District (PUSD) Resource Coordinator.

The professionals involved in SAVE-Prescott will be asked to provide general support for students in need of assistance. If counseling services are required, the professional will make that specific recommendation to the PUSD Resource Coordinator. An appropriate referral will then be made and the professional will be assigned another student. SAVE-Prescott is not a counseling service, nor does it provide counseling services. Rather, SAVE-Prescott works as a facilitator to join professionals with students in need of support services. No one associated with SAVE-Prescott will receive payment, salary, fees, or other remuneration.

The best reason for professionals to volunteer their time is so they can help make our schools a safer environment by assisting one student at a time.
